What are tax invoices?
Tax invoices are invoices that VAT-registered businesses send to their customers showing the details of a taxable supply and its VAT amount. The receipt of a tax invoice is proof that supports the tax-registered customer's claim for recoverable input tax.
What should tax invoices include?
- A unique sequential number.
- The supplier's name, address, and Tax Registration Number (TRN).
- The customer's name, address, and Tax Registration Number (TRN).
- The date of issue.
- The description of the goods or services supplied.
- The price and quantity of each item.
- The rate of discount per item.
- The rate of VAT charged per item.
- The total amount excluding VAT.
- The VAT amount chargeable.
- The total amount including VAT.
Tax invoices in Wafeq
Create tax invoices by going to Invoices in the left side menu and clicking the + button on the top right corner. The issued invoices will include all the details required by the Authority.
