Display Item barcode

Dears,

Kindly note that we are looking to display the item barcode directly on our invoices.

Currently, the item field contains the product or service code. We would like to create a new custom field for the barcode and link it to the product or service code.

Could you please advise how we can configure this link? Ideally, when a product is selected (for example, "1 shower gel exotic"), the barcode should auto-populate into this new field directly and reflect on the printed invoice layout.
