Peppol IDs and Customer Information

Answers to common questions about Peppol IDs and the customer details needed for e-invoicing.

What is my Peppol ID?

When your business is onboarded, it receives a Peppol ID (electronic address) in the format 0235: followed by your 10-digit TIN, for example 0235:1234567890. You can find it in your organization’s e-invoicing settings in Wafeq Accounting, or under Account in your taxpayer account in the ASP portal.

What customer details are required for e-invoicing?

For business customers, enter the customer’s TRN or TIN and a complete address, including the emirate and city for UAE customers. Wafeq checks the number with the FTA and looks up whether the customer is registered on Peppol.

What happens if my customer isn’t registered on Peppol?

In Wafeq Accounting, the invoice is still reported to the FTA using a default FTA address, but your customer won’t receive it over Peppol. Send them the invoice as usual. This also applies when you don’t have the customer’s TIN.

How do I enter the customer in an ASP portal import file?

In the customer_id column, enter the customer’s Peppol ID in the format 0235: followed by their 10-digit TIN. Leave it blank if the customer has no TIN.
