Wafeq now supports multiple types of identification numbers for organizations and contacts in KSA — not just Company Registration Numbers (CRN).
This is especially useful for entities that don’t have a CRN, such as sole proprietorships, government bodies, nonprofits, or foreign investors, who can now issue compliant e-invoices and connect to Fatoora via Wafeq using alternative IDs like MHRSD, MOMRAH, MISA licenses, or enter a 700 number if no official license is available.
In this step-by-step guide, you’ll learn how to add different types of ID numbers for your company or for contacts like suppliers and customers, and how they appear in your documents.
Add different ID number types to your organization
To choose the type of ID you want for your organization, click your account name at the top, then choose “Organization Settings” from the dropdown.
Navigate to organization settings
Click the “Edit” button next to organization details.
Edit organization details
Select the appropriate ID type from the “ID Type and Number” field.
Choose organization id type
Enter the ID number for the selected type, then click “Save”.
Enter organization ID in organization details screen
Include your ID when connecting to the Fatoora platform
To ensure your selected ID type and number are recognized by ZATCA, you need to confirm them during the Fatoora connection process:
On the same Organization Settings page, click “Connect”.
Include your ID when accessing Fatoora screen
If you’ve already selected an ID type and entered the number in your Organization Details, it will appear here automatically. Otherwise, you can enter them now on this screen. Fill in the remaining fields, then click “Next” to continue the connection process.
Enter organization ID in Fatoora settings
View ID numbers on your documents
Once you've added an ID type and number to your organization, it will automatically appear on official documents like invoices, bills, and credit notes, making sure your documents include all the required ID information.
Here’s how the ID appears on your documents (for example, on an invoice):
- Create a new invoice, or open any existing one, and click “Print/Download” button. You’ll notice the ID type and number you added included in the file.
- Note that the ID shows up on all invoice templates, whether you’re using the bordered style or the default one.
- When you click “عربي”, the invoice file is downloaded in Arabic with all the same details, including the ID.

Add different ID types to your contacts
Wafeq’s ID types aren’t just for your organization, they also apply to your contacts, like customers and suppliers. The selected ID will appear on documents just below the contact’s name, just like your organization’s ID appears under yours.
To choose the type of ID you want for a contact, go to “Customers & suppliers”, Choose “Contacts”, click “Add” or open an existing one, then enter the ID number in the Invoicing information section.
The ID will appear automatically on documents issued to that contact, just below their name, regardless of the template style (bordered or default) or the document language (English or Arabic), just like your organization’s ID.
