I know you're trying to help, but it's very annoying having to manually close it for every single invoice I add.

Thank you for your comment. I'm a product manager here at Wafeq.
We introduced this feature as to facilitate the addition of file. Now, I understand that it might be pretty annoying if you're used to drag and drop.
If you prefer not to open the file explorer, I don't know if you've seen it but you can click "Recored expense manually" (cf. attached file. This will direct you to the create expense without opening your file explorer.
We're also working on a feature where you can actually drag and drop expenses attachments right on top of the table view.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts - would this solve your issue?
