E-Invoicing Setup and Configuration in Wafeq Accounting

Answers to common questions about how e-invoicing works in Wafeq Accounting after you connect.

Where do I connect e-invoicing in Wafeq Accounting?

Go to Settings > Organization settings and click Connect next to FTA e-invoicing. Refer to How to select Wafeq as your ASP from the FTA/EmaraTax portal.

Can I choose when invoices start being reported to the FTA?

Yes. After you connect, you can set the start date for sending and reporting e-invoices. Invoices dated before that date are out of scope and aren’t reported.

Can all Wafeq Accounting plans send and receive e-invoices?

All plans (Starter, Plus and Premium) can send e-invoices. Receiving e-invoices from your suppliers is available on Plus and Premium: received e-invoices appear in your Inbox, ready to review and create a bill without manual data entry. The Starter plan can’t receive e-invoices.

Do I need to configure e-invoicing for individual customers?

No. E-invoicing applies only to customers set as a business (company). For customers set as an individual, invoicing works as before, without Peppol, validation or TIN requirements.

Do I choose the invoice type (tax invoice or commercial invoice)?

No. Wafeq assigns the invoice type automatically. A VAT-registered seller usually issues a standard tax invoice, and a seller without a TRN issues a commercial invoice.
